Vicky González began working as a graphic designer in 2006 in Monterrey, a Mexican city that its considered as one of Latin America’s most relevant design hubs.
In 2008 she co-founded Futura, a creative studio that to this day remains one of the most recognized Mexican studios worldwide. After almost a decade at the helm of Futura alongside Iván García, Vicky decided to leave the studio to explore her own approach to design.
In 2017 she lived in Stockholm and then moved permanently to Barcelona, a period in which she was able to expand her experience to interior and furniture design. In 2018 she created VVORKROOM with the idea of keeping the studio small in order to give full attention to each project that came in. It is at that moment when she meets Ricardo Acuña who becomes the first member of the studio and a key piece in the development of it. Ricardo and Vicky established the rules that are still respected to this day: Being human before anything else, seeing clients, co-workers and suppliers as people, not as tools to achieve goals. To be open, respectful and friendly at all times and to respect deadlines as much as rest hours.
